— Who We Are —
Our Founder was inspired to establish LEAH Foundation based on her experiences with people facing different challenges in their lives.
She is strongly convinced that if people can be empowered, their life will be much better. Therefore, the acronym LEAH –means LIFE Empowered Anchors Hope.
LEAH Foundation is a non-governmental organization established to raise awareness and spur affirmative action on issues affecting the survival and development of women and children (in particular) and humanity in general.
The Foundation is based in the city of Ilorin, Kwara State, North-Central Nigeria and is registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission under part C (Incorporated Trustees) of the Company and Allied matters Act No. 1 of 1990 with Registration Number C. A. C/ IT /NO. 45529
We work to fight against underdevelopment based on the S.H.E Model – Social Welfare, Health and Education. We strongly believe that the world can be a better place if every stakeholder contributes to eradicating the development deficits confronting the world in these thematic areas.
We have a vision to become the leading voice and reference point in social work in Nigeria and globally. In less than a decade of creating LEAH Foundation, we have been able to make a lot of difference in our key areas of interest.
